Sorry about the day late. A lot of traveling in the past two days from Georgia to South Carolina to Pennsylvania. I’ll be headed to Minnesota in a couple days from here. Anyway, double posting today! April 3rd’s prompt was to write a fourteener– or a poem where each line has fourteen syllables. So, with that:
“Driving Home in Spring”
The wisteria climbs the pines alongside Old Tillman Road.
Windows down, the fragrance of the dangling blooms vent through the car.
Two years ago, lamenting feelings for another, I
first put name to the flowering vine, natures comfort.
Today it comforts me again. Today I can feel peace.
