Rice Field at Ace Basin

Conflicting lines man-made
worn down by time
but visibly there,
still deeply, unknowingly, felt.

Prosperity of the south!
The enslavement of humanity
Nature has claimed it back,
but still, but still, the straight water paths.

Rice, do you still grow?
Wild and untendered,
by we who knew the world
before we overthrew earth?

It is better,
yes, it is better.
But down we have fallen,
Not just the south, but the humans.

oh, the humans.
